Discounts apply across all of your live events. Access them from the main menu, move your cursor to the left and select DISCOUNTS.
The seven discount types
Start by selecting the discount type from the dropdown.
Discount Code (Single). A code that applies to only one ticket in the basket. If someone buys more than one ticket, the discount applies to the first only.
Discount Code (All Tickets). The same, except the code applies to every ticket in the basket.
Discount Code (Entire Transaction). The discount applies to everything in the basket, with the exception of charity donations.
Multi Entry Discount. Encourages people to buy several entries in a single transaction by offering bigger discounts the more they buy. This applies across all of your events on Race Space.
Series Discount. Choose which of your races form a series. Anyone who enters all of them receives the discount. A series includes whole events only; it can't be limited to particular distances within each event.
Season Pass. Gives participants access to a number of events you select, for a single up-front payment.
Fixed Price Entry. Works like a discount code, but instead of taking a percentage or an amount off the price, anyone entering the code pays a fixed price you set.
Where participants enter a code
Participants enter discount codes in the basket, before payment. Codes are not applied through links, so always share the code itself.
Giving away free places
For comps, prizes, pacers or volunteers, use a 100% discount code rather than credit. A 100% code creates no transaction, so no booking fee is charged.
Create one code with a usage limit (for example 20 uses for 20 pacers) instead of many individual codes. You can still see who redeemed it.
Set an expiry date so unused comps don't linger.
Free entries can't later be exchanged for credit.
Finding and editing deals you have already created
Scroll to the bottom of the Discounts page to the Deals section, where you can search previously created deals. The Action column on the right gives you Edit and Delete. The Deals section also shows how many times each code has been used (for example 6 of 8).
Adding many codes at once
If you are creating a large number of unique discount codes, import them by spreadsheet rather than one at a time.
1. Select the Download template link, shown in red.
2. Populate the template with your deals.
3. Select the Upload Excel link, also in red, to add them in bulk.
Both links sit in the bottom left, opposite the Save Code button.
If a code isn't working
Is it linked to the right event or sub-event?
Has it expired or reached its usage limit? Check the Deals section.
Is it the right type? Single applies to one ticket only.
Is the participant entering it in the basket, before payment?
If everything looks right, ask them to refresh the page or clear cookies and try again.
Rewarding participants across specific distances
If you want a challenge across particular distances (for example a trilogy), keep your events as they are and reward those who complete the required distances with a credit, a next-year discount code or a merch voucher.
