Step 5 is where you build the entry form participants complete.
The three kinds of field
Some fields are mandatory and appear on every entry form. Below those sit standard fields, which you can set as optional, mandatory, or leave off the form entirely.
On the right-hand side you can add your own fields to customise the form for your event.
Answer types for your own questions
Custom questions can use free text, dropdowns, checkboxes or time.
The time type is worth knowing about. If you want to ask something like "How quickly can you run a 5k?", using the time type keeps every answer in the same format, which makes the responses usable afterwards rather than a column of inconsistent free text.
Waivers and terms
You can upload documents here, such as waivers, terms and conditions and any other event-specific paperwork. Entrants can read them while completing the entry form, and tick a box confirming they agree to the policies before they can complete their purchase.
One thing to get right first time
Your entry form cannot be edited after your first entry comes in. Every other section of your event stays editable, but this one locks. It is worth reading through it properly before you publish.
