How do I publish and edit my event?

Publishing your event, keeping it private for testing, why publishing might fail, and what stays editable afterwards.

Once your event is set up you can publish it.

Publishing privately for testing

If you want to publish but keep the event hidden while you check the whole process, tick the Hide event from public view box in Step 1, underneath the postcode field. The event will only be reachable by direct link. Return and untick it whenever you are ready to launch properly.

If you cannot publish

Publishing usually fails for one reason: one or more mandatory fields are still incomplete. The red numbers on each step tell you how many mandatory fields are outstanding on that step, so work through any step still showing a red number.

What locks when the first entry arrives

Your entry form cannot be edited once you have taken your first entry. Check it carefully before you start selling.

Every other section of your event page stays editable at any time.

Editing a live event

Select Event Edit from the Actions menu in My Events. This opens the same event editor you used to create the event, with all the same steps and features.
