If your event runs annually, duplicate this year's rather than building next year's from scratch.
Go to My Events.
Click the Action menu on the event you want to copy.
Select Duplicate Event.
A draft appears in your Drafts. Open it, edit whatever needs changing for the new edition, and publish it as a new event.
The original event is untouched, so duplicating is safe to do at any point.
