You may be eligible for a full or partial refund, but it depends on the terms your event organiser has set. Race Space does not set refund policy, and nor can we override it.
Checking whether you are eligible
Make sure you are logged in to Race Space.
Go to My Entries.
Select Entry Actions next to the entry you are asking about.
If you see a Refund Entry option, the organiser has enabled refunds. If it is not there, they have not.
Actioning it
If Refund Entry is there, you can refund yourself directly. Nothing needs approving and nobody needs contacting.
What you will actually receive
The organiser decides both whether refunds are allowed and what fee, if any, is deducted. The amount that reaches you depends on what they have set, so it may be less than you paid.
The Race Space booking fee and any booking protection you bought are not refundable, so they are not included in the refund. If you bought booking protection and can't attend for a covered reason, you can claim from XCover instead (see "How do I make an XCover claim?").
Refunds usually take 1 to 3 working days to reach your account, depending on your bank.
If you were charged more than once
Contact us or the organiser before contacting your bank, and we'll refund the extra charge. If you open a dispute with your bank, we can't refund the payment until the bank closes the dispute, which can take weeks.
Seeing the terms in advance
On the event page, open the Refunds/Transfers/Instalments dropdown under Entry Options. That is where the organiser's terms are published, and it is worth reading before you enter rather than after.
If you disagree with the outcome
Refund terms are the organiser's, so take any dispute to them directly rather than to Race Space. There is a separate article on contacting your event organiser.
